Since 2018, CJ Selecta has had a project focused on the sale of non-transgenic conventional seeds (NGMO), with the aim of trading soy seeds to encourage the origination of grains, aiming to meet the demand for conventional soy from our factory in Araguari/ MG. Each year, we seek cultivars that are more adapted and with greater productivity, in order to meet the demands in each producing region. Our portfolio has 26 cultivars.
CJ Selecta has invested in this project, seeking to encourage and develop the market in the states of Minas and Goiás. We have been seeking partnerships with institutions that develop conventional soybean cultivars, with a view to obtaining the newest products on the market. We always seek to ensure the satisfaction of producers through an adequate positioning of cultivars adapted to each region, obtaining an increase in productivity. The aim is to increase the potential for production of conventional soybeans in a sustainable manner, in addition to contributing to the traceability of the raw material, in order to reduce the risk of contamination with the transgenic material.
We provide a portfolio of conventional soybean cultivars, with characteristics that serve producing regions in the Center-North and Southeast of the country, and also with cycle options that allow the planting of a second crop. We have the support of Embrapa, the Meridional, Cerrados and Triângulo foundations to bring new cultivars that have been developed to the market.
Among the main objectives of our seed project are to increase the number of producers planting conventional soy closer to our processing unit, contributing to the reduction of logistical costs and carbon dioxide emissions, and our supply of raw material with soy outside the Amazon biome, in line with our sustainability policy.
CJ Selecta, through Barter, acts as a business facilitator and offers practical and profitable solutions for our partners in the commercialization of grains. We have a complete line of plant nutrition and conventional non-transgenic seeds (NGMO) that allow the producer to negotiate safely and aim at a win-win relationship – CJ Selecta, seeders and producer.
Barter operations, in agribusiness, is the payment for the input through the delivery of the grain after harvest. In this operation you can stablish the fixed value and volume, when you want to lock your trade, due to the excellent moment in the agricultural market.
